When Erin, the founder of Collective Heart, was laid off from her women’s wholesale apparel job after 13 years, she felt totally lost - that is, until she met Theresa, the owner of WORK+SHELTER, an ethical and sustainable manufacturer who employs (and empowers!) more than 50 women in Delhi, India to make organic cotton customized apparel and accessories.

WORK + SHELTER provides fair, steady income, a safe working environment, health and dental care, education, career growth and financial freedom.

Connected by their focus on ethical brands and dedicated to empowering women, Erin and Theresa felt like kindred spirits and the Collective Heart brand was born.
